إلى الشهداء


وما أن خارت قواه، وأحسّ بأنه سيسقط...همَ بغريزته ان يمسك بسواعد رفاقه...غير أنه ما أن رأى الأرض تحته، والتراب قد استحال أحمراً من دمه...هوى ليعانق الأرض التي أحبَ

باكراً رحلتم
تاركين وراءكم
أشياءكم الصغيرة
وأحلاماً كبيرة
وأسماءكم
وأشباح ذكرياتكم
ووطناً...نراه جميلا ًفي ملامحكم
جميلاً ...كما الأزهار
حرَا...كما الأطيار
نوراً....ونار
عظيماً رغم خلافاتنا
وحروبنا التافهة
رغم خطايانا
وألاعيب السياسة
فهل تغفرون أيها الشهداء لنا؟

و كل عام وأنتو بخير....أشتقنالكم

yes, Laila, I did. I'm happy you love it. It's really sad where we reached in politics in Lebanon...
I took the picture last summer, and I had to run away....to where the martyrs lie...and talk to them.

Al Azhar..Da7noon and Skooka3 to our martyrs..Expressive words. I love these two flowers. To me, they're the utter representation of everything beautiful.

I can't believe it..Tom is the BIG DAY..the day I dreamed about my entire childhood.free south, no tanks, no bombs,no,no,no,no..and mawqua3 elsawda that bombed my school every other day destroyed..this was a dream like day..and until I read ur post I had no recollection..I would not have remembered it was tom...who have I become? what did this place do to me? this is scary..

I didn't know they returned the Martyrs' statue to centre beirut. is it back to the same place?
